View Full Version : Birdcage changes in Pattaya.

March 25th, 2008, 23:52
Hi,

Following and reading many points of view, We intend to make a number of changes.

1. Mark has already commenced with new shows, which has been slightly hindered due to the unreliability of some of the showboys, for various reasons such as internal bickering, leaving, going home for various reasons [ Don't ask]

2. The toilets are now controlled by Initial, these include air fresheners, soap dispensers, loo fresheners, and toilet roll holders. We have spoken to Initial, who assure us there will be no asking for 20 baht or neck massages by their equipment!

3.Certain aspects of the shows such as Big Dog are there as solos enabling the boys to get changed quickly whilst Mark is recruiting new show boys and new routines. Mark will be looking at them and changing them but not overnight, whilst training is in progress with new boys.

4. There are now up to to 20 Coyote dancers and similar number of go go boys.

5. During the low season , [ has there been a high one??] Mark is looking at bringing in an earlier showtime, and retaining the 11.00pm. possibly allowing the late one to allow market forces to dictate.

6. The lighting looks fantastic after the company Mix and Light from Central Pattaya has become involved and installed new lighting. They are currently solving some earthing and sound problems but say everything will be done for Rear of the Year, this Friday.

7.Raksiam, my Russian language lessons are coming along great as is my Chinese tour group routes.

8.There is slight disruption whilst we are building a new office, new changing rooms and toilets for staff allowing the customers to go undisturbed in the main loos!

I noticed in another thread Mr Quill, namely maroonedmimd's: The perception of foreigners going to other countries,
you made a comment that although you believed it to be a great thread, you weren't sure whether or not you believed that it belonged where it was. Now dont you start, we seem to have enough traffic police already in attendance, rerouting threads all over the place, as well as doing other strange things with them.

Since arriving back home, I have noticed that there have been many threads that have been moved, locked and in some cases, have even disappeared into thin air.

Instead of worrying about where the right place for threads to be posted, with the very limited time that you must have these days, you would be better off concerning yourself with far more important issues, such as those of toilets and face fucking dogs.

I am surprised that Mark hasn't come up with another form of fucking that the dogs could do to some members here, if and when they visit your club next, instead of face fucking that is. By those comments of mine, as to whether I believe they could do with another form of fucking or not, I couldn't possibly comment. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/whistle.gif

As you seem to be listening to the advice of some here, may I suggest that you form an entertainments committee from some of the members here, along the same lines of the working mens clubs prevalent back in the UK. After all, it's obvious that there is a lot of expertise and experience here in the entertainment and hospitality trade, as shown by all of the brilliant advice that has been offered. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/rolleyes.gif

I am sure that this committee, if it were formed, would do a far better job of running the Birdcage than Mark and yourself seem to be doing. After all, with both Mark's and your own limited experiences in how to run a business such as the Birdcage, it is obvious that you are relying on beginners luck in order to be successful. Let me tell you, http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/no_no-1.gif that just isn't good enough.

I think you should seriously consider what I am proposing Mr Quill; before it's too late. After all, you have been open all of 4 weeks this coming Sunday. In this time, you shouldn't only be the best and most well known club in Thailand, but the whole fucking world. How much more time to do want to get things bloody right? Haven't you had enough of it already? Well, come on man, haven't you? http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/shrugs.gif

I would offer to chair this committee for you that I am proposing, but unfortunately, my experience in this field is as limited as yours. After all, I didn't even make it to three months with my own new and latest venture. I could kick myself now, had I have done what I am advising you to do and formed a committee of my own, no doubt I would probably be the most successful go go bar in Thailand by now. Now don't you make the same mistake that I did Mr Quill, there is no time to loose; get this committee formed and do it now without any further ado. You know what I am saying makes sense, don't you? http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/cool_shades.gif

Oh, by the way, as an afterthought I came up with this brilliant idea, are you ready for this? As Mark and yourself will be pretty much redundant when the committee is formed and takes over, you could both take over as the new toilet massage boys. After all, you get plenty of tips all the time, so you may as well ensure that all future ones from now on, are monetary ones. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/slol.gif

I have impressed myself so much with this excellent advice that I have given you here, that I am off to see my lawyer later this morning, in order to form a new company specialising as a consultant to the entertainment and hospitality industry. You know where to find me should you wish pay me a retainer. I would get in quick if I were you, I have a feeling I am going to be very busy.

Choc Dee Mr Quill, I will see you on either this coming Thursday or Saturday. I would come along Friday, but wouldn't want to detract from the event that is going on that evening and more importantly, certainly wouldn't wish to embarrass whoever the eventual winner of the nights contest is. After all, he wouldn't even come close to being in the same league as someone, who in many peoples eyes, is already looked upon as the undisputed arsehole of the year; would he now? http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/biglaugh.gif

My love and best wishes to you both. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/hug.gif

Hi George,

How right you are.

We can get Raksiam to do the toilet monitoring, in case Initial gets too big for his soap dispensers!

We can reduce all drinks to 20 baht for everything, that way no one can say they can buy it cheaper in 7-11, the fact we will lose money on every drink sold is a side issue and we should stop being selfish and give the public what they demand.

All off fees will be reduced significantly, in fact, I have decided that we will now pay you to take them, and give you double what you pay them if you are not entirely satisfied.

On special nights, we will provide free transport to AND from the club to anywhere you wish to go including Bangkok and surrounding areas, we cannot however, fit Chiang Mai into this promotion at this stage, but we will be buying an aircraft later this year for that leg of the journey.

Entertainment, We have decided to stop the dogs and chickens and employ the Gary Glitter band for the rest of this year,

I know it sounds flash and expensive, but we have been shrewd here and he has agreed to do two jobs if we buy him a bar in Sunnee Plaza with a computer for Internet access,. We have guaranteed not to question or interfere with anyone he chooses to employ, as his integrity is beyond question.

If anyone feels we have not dealt with their particular gripe, we are arranging free sandwiches and coffee on the terrace at 3.00pm daily and will set up an entertainment committee to ensure transparency and a regulatory body of all the above services.

I'm sure the oversight has not been intentional, but I have decided to form an international collective of infrequent vistors to Pattaya (henceforth known as The ICIVP) to both monitor, advise, and collect kickbacks from the prinicpals involved in the Birdcage.

Our motto is: To provide opinion forcefully, yet with disrespect.

I've already gathered into the plenary representatives from all interested nationalities and am busily translating the by-laws into Russian, Mandarin, Japanese and several minor European languages.

To gain the official seal designating your establishment as an approved ICIVP property will require a monthly support of the committee in the amount of $3,000. There will be a 10% discount offered until after the Olympics.

Looking forward to both monitoring, advising, and fleecing you.

Sincerely,

Dave_tf

Grand wizard and Supreme Imam of the ICIVP

Now from those answers to my post above, that sounds more like the Kevin I know. Fuck, I thought you were going soft for a bit then, either that or you had been abducted by aliens and replaced. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/biglaugh.gif

Choc Dee Kevin, it will all come right in the end as I am sure you are already aware and furthermore, if you can't get it right and make the Birdcage a success, no one fucking can, not even Raiksiam, the Sir Bernard Delfont of Sawadi.

It's not very clear to me: Is the Birdcage a new Clubhouse for the gay expat community or is the Birdcage a gay nightclub, offering services and entertainment, which you can or can't accept while visiting the venue?

Stop the crap and don't post here any pro's and/or contra's regarding BC; just visit the place, and if you don't like it, just leave, but stop bothering other people with your very personal point of views.

Hi joseph44,

It is a bar catering for everyone to answer your question, Ex pats and visitors alike, with Coyote dancers and we thought a "New theme."

Some of the ex pat community like to comment, even when they haven't been to the place and put their ten pence worth in.

Others have "agendas," stating they had a friend who said...........................

You would be making it TOO easy, if they just went and judged for themselves, what would they talk about on Jomtien Beach all day!!!

As you have been able to see, views change and differ, same as the old saying, 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'

I would always go to a place two or three times by myself before forming an opinion, but there again, I am just old fashioned.

Badboybilly aka DrSpock on ting tong has just given his highly original report on the birdcage

http://www.gaytingtong.com/topic2596.html

We wondered how long it would be before he broke out of that assumed character

Did you all see him last week in pattaya, on his flowerewd bike?

No, as much as it pains me to do so Andrew, I must admit to missing that particular event, which I am certain, must have been the highlight of their week, for all of those that did witness it. Out of interest, you don't happen to know if he has gone home yet, do you?

I ask the above question for the sole reason, that I wouldn't want to think, that just because I missed him last time out, I will be as fortunate again should he repeat last week's event on this flowered bike, for all of those including myself, that were not privileged enough to have seen it the first time. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/whistle.gif

With regard to his Birdcage review on Ting Tong, did you honestly take the time that would have been necessary to read through all of that diatribe of his? What a brave man you are if you did. And, a far better man than me as well Gunga Din, as I believe the saying goes. However, I will make no mention of the fact whatsoever, that bravery and intelligence do not always go hand in hand with one another. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/tongue.gif

Choc Dee Andrew, just having a gentle little tug on your one eyed monk. A far better alternative I am sure you will agree, than Badboybilly swinging on the end of it. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/biglaugh.gif

...what exactly is this "Dog Fcuking Routine" that I keep hearing griping about?

I only visited Throb/Splash once back in '03 and all I remember of the show was the guys splashing around in the water tank. I'm sure I would've remembered a Bestiality number if I had seen it so I must have come in late and missed it. :grommit:

Joined them? Balcony. Here is a list: www.balconypub.com/members.html (http://www.balconypub.com/members.html)

It's good deal, pays it's self off quickly as long as either the Balcony or you don't go belly-up sooner than expected.

Balcony's been around for a while and not likely to go belly up just yet. I think they're celebrating 10 years in May. Trust the Birdcage will do as well.

It's a life time membership, that's not very long with some of the customer base. Balcony is doing well, hard to find a table on weekends.

The other discount card is

www.dreadedned.com/user/discounts (http://www.dreadedned.com/user/discounts)

along with this warning:

"Venues may change or withdraw their offer without notice. Please check with the venue before deciding to visit.
dreaded ned's accepts no responsibiliy for a venue's failure to deliver the offer specified."

Ominous sounding, yet I have never had a discount card refused anywhere.

I seem to recall that there was one other discount card out there, sometime, maybe Dragon Castle or Utopia?

Yep, 10 years: www.balconypub.com/showevent.html/event=080506 (http://www.balconypub.com/showevent.html/event=080506)

I stayed away from Balcony for a long time, but now that smoking is no longer allowed inside, I have returned. The food seems improved as well. Best buy if you a drinker is to buy the bottle and they keep it for you unless of course you polish off one bottle in a single seating.

Oh my, we're off topic.
