Is Paddy's Night a Buddhist festival? If not, do Thais care about it, and if not, a sticky in the Any Other Country Forum would shirley be more appropriate (if you feel you must sticky)?

The Board is down to one bloody annoying sticky now (how many bingo games? How many whine and cheese parties?) and you about to start all over again??
Hey, here's an idea . . . why not sticky every TravelerJim thread and leave it for 6 months?

Cheers ...

Whether you are Irish or not, I wish you all the best. If you happen to shuffle off the mortal coil on that day, I pray you may be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows your dead. How could a noble poster on this forum disparage Guinness? I heard a rumor that even the gods have a sip now and again. Personally, I'm partial to a half and half, my current beer of choice is Heineken, but almost any beer will work. Just pour 50 beer and 50 percent Guinness in a tall glass and enjoy. My relatives call it an "harf and harf" but whatever you call it, please do not say anything to tarnish the nimbus of my ancestors who were able to drown their sorrows and salute small victories over the vicissitudes of life with nothing more than a fine glass of Guinness, or port , or brandy or gin or whatever. If you don't have an absolutely sterling day in the 17th, I will have no sympathy.

Dear Bing,

When in the UK and it is mixed with beer, it is called a "Black and Tan"

"How could a noble poster on this forum disparage Guinness?"

because it tastes bloody horrible and any decent Irishman should know Danny Boy is only sung at funerals.

Hmmm, thanks for the info. My relatives also called it a "black and tan", but since so many of the boys here are from the British Isles, I thought it best not to bring up such tawdry events and the flushing of undesirables of London onto the noble and holy land of the Green Isle. I am sure all of you know of the saying, "The sun never sets in the British Empire" This was once true. Yes very true,, It can not be said now in this modern world... Yes,"Even God does not trust Albian in the dark." he he ,,, Best Wishes to all you English Gentlemen, I have forgiven the Black and Tans, and I certainly hope you can forgive your Imperialist past. By the way, "Up the Republic."

Seems like the new restaurant O'Briens, would be a natural for St. Patricks Day. I have heard they are now open for
breakfast too and have a fabulous mixed grill at nite. O'Briens is in the Day-Night area of Pattaya and right in the center of
Restaurant Row and a minute or two from Birdcage and Office Boy. Same owner as Googies just down the soi.. :cat:
