Tonight I was chatting with a farang who just got back from a weekend in Phuket. He told me that nearly all the bars in the Paradise Complex stay open to 6.00am. These bars are not back-street after hours places but mainstream bars!
I find it hard to believe the story since both Pattaya and Bangkok now have strict enforcement of the 1.00am ~ 2.00am closing times and there are now very few after-hours places that don't get a visit from the BiB.
Can anyone confirm this? If it's true that mainstream Phuket bars are open to 6.00am then why not in Pattaya or Bangkok? :
