There must be a reason for it, but other than (TIT) I wonder why some things are done the way they are here in Thailand.
Today at Villa Market I had done some shopping and at check out saw they had razor blades. I picked out a pack, which the cashier scanned in the register and I noticed it was the wrong type. I told her "sorry" I wanted a different pack and she looked at me with horror. She started yelling "over ring" and the place became brimming with activity. The dumped all the items I had purchased that was in bags already, out onto the counter. Another cashier rushed over and gave a card to be swiped and then everything was rescanned to bring my bill to zero baht. Then everything was scanned again and totaled.
I was amused that there must not have been a "minus key" to take a product out!
