Good and helpful for planning your trip to Chiang Mai :-)

Interesting to see the number counter of views on each of the various topics about Chiang Mai...
the topic about Chiang mai's Massage Pasrlors is by far the #1 topic of interest...
I wonder why?... :-)

It's obvious, the majority of the visitors to these sites are sex tourists, not that that's a bad thing. Readers could also be looking for some juicy erotic content that the author has a history of writing about. Nothing there, dam!

They got a two man Blog going on at that site. Every now and then some useful information for newbees. Worth a look-see now and then.

I still think we refer to Chiang Mai in the singular form!

I am in total agreement with TrongpaiExpat about the two man blog. The Chiang Mai pieces were of interest as so little is
written about the scene there, at least on this forum..
I also find baht-stop to be a blog of one person's thoughts and even more boring and insipid than the two man blog..

The reason this forum works and Ting Tong as well is that they are not about the owners/moderators every purchase or
walk in the park but open forums for all to express themselves unless they are self absorbed trolls..(currently blessedly banned)

TravellerJim has a tendency to gush about certain people and go way over the top.. It is just his way, I guess.. :cat:

My first reaction to your post was to sarcastically thank you for adding to the post with your well though out and useful information on Chiang Mai but then it occurred to me that your probably British.

I think that Jim is using a parody of an American popular add culture on an American breakfast cereal, Kellogg's corn flakes. There's GREAT says Tony the tiger.

Free free to make obscure British analogies and references at will.

This forum is in dire need of a Chiang Mai correspondent and I hope cnx4shan keeps us updated on the scene there,
as Adam's Apple is about all many of know and it no longer exists as far as I am aware..

Also thanks for the link and maybe our moderators will consider a link option to that site... :cat:

Chiang Mai correspondents don't seem to last long on this board before going off in a huff and a hissy fit. Pattaya correspondents they just stay and stay and noting scars them away. So, everyone don't screw around with cxn4shan.

I'm heading up that-a-way tomorrow for a short trip.

The trip reports are interesting, but other information on the Gay Thailand Website (e.g. City reports) on Chiang Mai is long out of date.

Thanks cnx4shan. We have updated the city guide and are working on all the listings in Chiang Mai. It will take us a few weeks to get all that information up to date. We are currently calling the establishments to make sure we have the right phone numbers and addresses and working on adding the new places I visited on my trip there.

We are doing the same with the other city guides as well and they will take a bit longer. Pattaya should be finished by this month as well.

The City Guide section is very out of date and we will have all the cities revisited and updated by year's end. I will need to spend about a month in each city to do this. I have spent one in Chiang Mai and now in Pattaya. I'll do Bangkok and Phuket on my summer trip. Chiang Rai and Udon have my interests as well and we will work on them in the near future if all goes according to plan.

Thanks Traveler Jim for linking this information over and to all who gave constructive comments. They are much appreciated.

Enjoy your trip, great temperature in CNX right now and we haven't got the pollution problems we had last year.

Just saw a doctor for chest problems and he asked me if I was a heavy smoker - I never smoked (cigarettes)....

Chiang Mai, as confirmed in the daily Thai press yesterday once more, is just the most polluted place in Thailand. These month are the worse and this is due to geographical particularities.

I really wonder what the hell people come to do here if not for business / work. There are so many nice seaside places in Thailand and even Bangkok is cleaner.

If you care for your health STAY AWAY FROM CHIANG MAI.
