View Full Version : Fun in or near Suvarnabhumi Airport

February 24th, 2008, 14:57
I have 7 hours between flights. Where would you recommend in, or near, the airport for fun? Is there time to get back into the city? Is there a message board where I could post a message about the specific time I am going to be there?

You could get to Babylon in about 45 mins to an hour that would give you 4hrs of playtime and an hour of "cushion" time.

If you are transitting and not going out through immigration, you might be shocked to find very few toilets inside.

It could be there are some or more in arrivals, but very hard to find in departures

It may have changed since my last visit. But the fun has gone out of the airport.

If you have a boarding pass for your next flight and your bags booked through, then Babylon is an option

However most airlines charge extra for stopovers .Could become expensive

Queues in departures immigration can be very long unless you are flying Thai

Tell us your arrival and departure times for a clearer picture of your options

Where, in my experience, the queues are even longer !

Your 7 hour layover may evaporate quicker than you think especially if your flight is late getting in. You may want to consider the option of having the action come to you.

If you have any connections (mobile numbers) of any boys you've interacted with in the past you could just phone one up and have him meet you at one of the local airport hotels. This way you have no stress about time, don't have to be rushing around in a taxi after a long flight, would have time to shower and freshen up, and unless you're one of those guys who can screw for 5 hours straight, will have a few hours to sleep in a comfortable bed before catching your next flight. All this convenience for the price of a hotel room.

See link below for Airport Hotels

Good luck

One possible problem with the 'airport' hotel option is that most of them are 20 to 30 minutes from the airport and/or few taxi drivers know where they are. The only real airport hotel is the overpriced Novotel.

Also, OP hasn't nominated what type of fun he's looking for, and what time of day.

A slight problem with the maths again. An hour to get there, an hour to get back, report to check-in two hours before departure (three hours is required officially, but two is sufficient), leaves a maximum of three hours not including walking to and queueing at immigration on arrival, etc, which could take between 20 minutes and an hour. That gives you two to three hours "playtime", maximum.

More details guys: bags will be checked through and will have boarding pass and travelling at the front of the plain so (hopefully!) fast-track immigration. The idea of a hotel sounds fun!

If fun is what you're after, you are not going to do well chasing those poor hapless bellboys at the Novetel airport hotel. 3 hours of Babylon gives you at least 5 loads before you board that next plane. Not to mention some nice microwaved Thai cuisine or a G&T by the pool. Sooth your aching muscles with a quickie Thai massage. Lots can be achieved if you have the resolve to entertain the cock.

Enjoy.

first 2 points covered now what time of day as you have to consider traffic both ways
and whether Babylon is open or busy

February 25th, 2008, 05:33
OK, I'll be the bastard and ask the question no-one else has - are you going to find it easy to get laid at a sauna or will it be quicker for you to flash a few baht around at a "massage" place? If you've got a limited time you may as well be realistic about your chances

This is the best advice of all. As for 5 loads in 3 hours, that will depend on the youth and virility of the OP. :flower:

Obviously TopChinese has a vigorous sex drive for all this rigorous planning. Hey, I know a guy who can program all the traffic lights to green going your way!

Personally, if someone asked me if I could do 5 loads in 3 hours, I would probably think they were talking about my laundry!

That was TopChinese who suggested 5 in 3 hrs. Those days are a little past me. I was merely saying whether or not the OP could do it would depend on youth and virility. :clown:

It also depends on weather you're pitching or catching.

Unless you are travelling at the very front of the "plain" (ie flight crew) do not count on it, either coming in or going out; aliens are aliens, unless they hold diplomatic passports or "elite" visas (does anyone??). As has been pointed out repeatedly, it all depends on when you are flying.

February 26th, 2008, 00:21
This is a REALLY helpful place.
I arrive about 06:00 and leave after mid-day. So guess Babylon is out. I like the idea of seeing if someone will travel out to the Novotel. For a local guy, is this a big deal or expensive? I am happy to throw a bit of cash at the problem!

Throw 10k at me... I'll be waiting with a choice of 10 for you hehehe

AND a suite at whatever hotel you prefer :clown:

If he's flying TG he does, indeed, get fast track immigration, personally escorted there by TG ground staff. I guess all of that is over by the time you get off the plane from your seat in row 69, so you've never observed it?

February 26th, 2008, 04:08
Jinks's offer doesn't seem a bad one 10k for a suite and 10 guys! (the room alone is gonna cost 4k!)
So perhaps I could negociate - 5k and 5 guys?

torfin...

I don't think a local guy would see this as a big deal, especially if it's a boy you've interacted with before.

You could offer to cover his taxi to-and-from your hotel and throw in an extra 500 baht on top of the normal tip you would pay him for his trouble. Of course if you're proposing this to a boy who's working actively in a bar, then you would also want to include the off fee.

A few years ago during my first journey to Chiang Mai, I called the place where I planned to lodge for a few nights and had them arrange for a boy to meet me at the ungodly hour of 3:00 AM. The place was called Coffee Boys and they also had a small boy gogo bar on the premises so there was no concern finding a willing participant. I simply provided my preferences regarding the type of boy I liked, and that was that. My taxi pulled up in the pitch of night and there standing in the shadows was this absolute dream - smiling from ear-to-ear and ready to help me turn down my bed. Now, when I think of Chiang Mai - I think of him, because he's the only part of Chiang Mai that I saw...555

I want the toilet seats in row 27. Oh wait, that's Eva. Well gimme Thai's toilet seats.

I love the smell of urine in the morning!

I do not fly Thai, neither apparently does he, so your point, as usual, is pointless.

0600, 6am in the morning and you expect a Thai boy to be up? Forget it. Most in "the business" get up late-late afternoon but you might find one that has not gone to sleep yet.

Good luck and be sure to post all the details here.
