Thai police nab another US fugitive
Police in Phuket said they have arrested a 42-year-old American wanted in St Louis for child molestation.
Police broke in on the residence of Earl Bonds, 42, and took him into custody pending cooperation with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation - and quick deportation.
By Thursday afternoon, Bonds had been taken from Phuket to Bangkok to await extradition. Pol Col Chanatpol Yongbanjerd, chief of immigration, said his visa had already been revoked.
He has been charged in the United States with molesting an 11-year-old boy in 2003 in Saint Louis, Missouri.
A recent story in the St Louis media said Bonds sometimes resorted to cross-dressing to try to throw authorities off the track.
