I ran across another economist article that I thought was interesting. It contains economic forecasts for Thailand into the year 2012. Obviously any forecast has problems. No one can see into the future... etc...
I am also sure that some of the regular posters here will also find small details that they disagree with and will then focus on those. As I said before small minds focus on small issues, perhaps.
Anyway, the most interesting forecast for me was the Baht Dollar exchange rate. The forecast is basically that the exchange rate will remain stable at around 33-34 Baht to the dollar.
I am not an economist (but I do read the magazine). With the instability in the US economy that seems generous as I would have predicted that the Baht would continue to strengthen against the dollar. But what the hell do I know?
