ST or TL? Is my theory correct?

Have you ever expresses a wish for your тАШoffтАЩ to stay Long Term, but he has declined or tried to wriggly out of it with some excuses? Or have you found that when he does stay LT that he fidgets all night, & then complains in the morning that he didnтАЩt sleep well.

Is this perhaps because the lads in the bars are on a different sleep pattern to us? I sometimes ask the lads when they awaken & sometimes this is around 5pm, they then get to the bar (some of them), to be given a meal there, before they start working at around 8.30pmish.
I know of facts that lads who havenтАЩt been offed, go snooker after or to the karaoke. This is because it is maybe still early afternoon for them.

Yes i know they may just plainly not want to share a bed with you also....

Maybe now when your тАШoffтАЩ declines LT, you will be more understanding or at least have half an idea as to whyтАжтАж..

PS тАУ Will anyone be in Bangkok on March 19th to meet up for the night to go bar hopping?

My regular offs say:

- they can't properly sleep in air-con
- it's difficult to explain their absence to their family or girlfriend
- they would rather spend some of their tip on an all-night drinking session with their friends ("Pipers" seems popular)
- they don't appreciate being forced-marched to breakfast when they're half asleep and not hungry

It's the never-ending-struggle between one who wants the maximum money in the shortest time and the other who wants the maximum fun over the longest time.

I never have that problem, the boys are always exhausted when I we finish our vigorous exercise of fun under the sheets.... :colors:

ST = Short Term = yuk
TL = Long Term = yuk
P.S. = Post Script = OK

Not sure if your theory is correct or not. Have had some ST decline the LT for the reasons you state, explaining an overnight absence or wanting to go out with their mates playing snooker etc. I have a preference for LT as I don't like the rush to grab the money and run. One lad in particular stands out to me, he's a most excellent fuck so I occasionally engage his services ST , depends on my needs at the time.
Have not often discovered my LTimers in a hurry to escape in the morning, in fact I have had trouble trying to get a few to depart. I have heard the "hard to sleep in aircon gripe, however if we've agreed to LT, I take the "get over it " attitude and will agree to them leaving after the encounter but for lesser recompense than we previously agreed to.
I have seen ST encounters out on the hunt again after our play. Maybe if they can perform satisfactorily a couple of times a night the money is better than one LT.
As far as I'm concerned their reasons for not wanting LT are their own and if I am stuck on the idea of LT I pass on the opportunity for ST. Their loss hehe
Don't know about the sleep pattern thing but it is a sound theory, I know if I sleep through most of the day I often tend to prowl longer in to the night than after an early morning rising.

Given that most bar boys have an adverse reaction to the sun, or doing anything other than sleep during daylight hours, it makes sense to imagine that they prefer to socialise at night with their friends, especially after working hours. Most of the late night clubs and karaoke bars are filled with them partying the night away and looking for customers. Of course, some just want to have fun. And others populate the internet cafes to seek out online customers.

One would also imagine that sleeping in a stranger's bed is not exactly an exciting proposition for these young guys. Most of us would prefer to sleep in the comforts of our own bed. I know that if given the choice, it would be my preference every time. Maybe for some, the little extra Bath is just not worth it.

I'm not a big fan of long term stay overs with bar guys, but that is mostly as a safety issue. At this point in my life, sleeping alone brings great comfort, relaxation and a peace of mind.

I think if people are reading these old threads and find things interesting and needs to be looked at again, why not? Enjoy.

When I first came to Pattaya the usual fee for long time was 1000 baht. I soon found I could not sleep with a hot Thai lad beside me, and wanted only short times. However when I booked a short time the boys were often in a hurry to finish. That's no fun. I devised a solution to the problem.

When wanting a boy for a short time I would tell him I wanted a long time. If I offed him at 10 o'clock at night he was to stay until 10 o'clock the next morning, and for that I would pay 1,200 baht. The boys would eagerly agree, that sum being well above the norm.

We would retire to my accommodation and, despite our agreement, the boys wanted to leave after two hours or so. I would feign shock, saying we had agreed upon 1,200 baht for 12 hours; that was 100 baht per hour. If he had to leave after only two hours I could pay him only 200 baht. The boy's jaw would drop, his eyes get big, and after stammering he would agree to stay the full 12 hours.

I would unhurriedly finish my business after about three hours total, and be ready for him to go. Then I would tell him if he really wanted to leave early that would be OK, and rather than 300 baht I would pay him 800 baht (a generous short time fee). Invariably the boy would break into a smile, and thank me.

Hardly.

Had a boy preferred to stay twelve hours (none did) I would have let him, or given him 1,200 baht and told him he could go.

Boys declining LT is not a problem, just find another one.

More troublesome are the ones who agree to long time, but then decide they want to leave after 2 hours.
When I really want LT, before leaving the bar, I tell them it will be 500 baht short time, 1500 baht long time.

Fun topic.

My BF hates it when we do long time.....says I snore too much. I think he would much prefer if I just left so he can get more sleep. :sign5:

OK seriously now...

Before BF, I much preferred ST. I tend to wake up early and like to head out for a run / coffee / walk / whatever. No Thai boy I have ever met likes to wake up early....
Works out well now with BF. I wake up and head out while he sleeps. By the time I get back to the room, he is ready to wake up and we can "get busy" :tongue3:

Answer = YES.

When you were their age and all your friends were out having a good time at night doing what young people do - would you rather be spending your evenings sitting next to your grandpa who's running his hands up your boxers at every turn - or going out and partying with your friends?

If I'm with a guy who I like and want him to spend the night I just give him the option...up to him. If he declines the offer and wants to leave - then I just tell him to have a good time. If he decides to stay...then I know I'm in trouble.

I remember offing a guy from Nature Boy a few years ago for LT. After the deed I curled up to go to bed, but he was wide awake! He ended up staying up all night watching T.V.
Now that i think of it, he may have been on drugs.

Their sleeping times are different. When I was in Europe, I could use the timeshift to chat with boys on camfrog (some of them work in bars), at 4 or 5 am (Thai time). Whereas I want to sleep at 12 pm or 1 am, they are wide awake at that time and prepared for many more hours of going out, watching TV, playing internet.

(Reminds me of my childhood when I was forced to sleep after lunch. A horrible experience that I shall not forget for the rest of my life! I wanted to go out and play!)

I think aircon isn't a problem. Some of my friends prefer aircon and I had no complaints about aircon in my room (which is 25C).

It might be a simple calculation: 1000 Baht for 2 hours is more per hour than 1500 Baht for 12 hours.

This thread definitely gets the prize for the most deceased posters commenting in a single thread! jinks is surely outdoing himself in the vaults.

....................Well a moment ago there were resurrected posts from five or six deceased members, David in Pattapa/TeePee/WowPow etc, now where have they all gone again? It was however nice to see them, albeit momentarily. Is jinks spring cleaning?

I was giving them a single post each. To miss "no posts pruning". And a current active date

Remember it's a long time since I was a mod (in fact I was a rocker)

I forgot to move everything out of sight. SORRY.

No apologies needed, it was a nice moment. A good reminder that there have been some really good posters on this forum and on Pattayagay, who are sadly now departed from the real world, and I'm glad that they are being preserved. SGT's version of Madame Tussauds.

Being a mod is like riding a bike, or scooter.
