That's no surprise seeing that there is an alcohol ban tonight is it? http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/shrugs.gif Ambience and Cafe Royal being hotels and restaurants would be allowed to be open, but not allowed to serve alcohol.

Things were exactly the same in Sunee.

Yes, Hans, it is because of the election.
Bars will reopen late tonite, if the same pattern hold true from last weekend.
Some of the boys take the opportunity to return to their villages so the bars may not be
fully staffed tonite but should be back to normal in a day or two.

It will amaze some of my friends that all the bars in Sunee were closed and shuttered. Even the
pedo bars, even Mic My(not a pedo bar). I confess I did not check Sky boys soi but still the major pedo bars were closed!
I also didn't bother to go to the Pattayaland sois but heard from several go go boys that the bars would be closed as well.

The soi has been going down hill for a long time now. I use to be there most nights, but now theres nothing to go there for.
The prices are over the top and the shows are crap. It needs a complete change.

Boys town trys to market for the tourist. It was once the place to be. For a while now it has over priced itself and it has slowly been going down hill.

Maybe Marsha should have come to the rescue and opened his show in Wild West or somewhere near by. Could have got the residents plus the tourist back on side.

The trouble with some parts of boys town and by this i mean places like the cafe royale is the over charging for drinks.The price for a beer is too much now at over 120bht. When trade is down, drop the prices, not put them up, have a happy hour or 2 for the price of 1.I dont know about the ambiance because i have not used it for a while but i do know that the boyz boyz show could do with a big change.Bring the drinks prices down to sunnie plaza beer bar prices and u might see more guys using the bars

Why visit the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino to see the Chippendales, when Marsha has brought all the sparkle of Las Vegas to you http://jinkscorp.com/holidays/thai/1topman07/index.htm . It might be standing room only at Topman now, but how long before Marsha and her collection of top totty are tempted to take their show on tour.

I was there a few days ago and I thought it looked crowded compared to low season... The thing is, most people are hidden in the go-go clubs or in the couple cafes... Panorama "corner" is where one can sit and see who is passing by...but to me, it is the same, same, same Thai faces that hang out at these places ...if you see them on the beach that day, you'll see them again in Boyztown. I still wish there was some small dance club in the area that would get going around 11pm. Yes, I know there is Xray...but it is totally over rated with its "adolescent" coyote dancers; poor dance area; low ceilings; cigarette smoke trapped in the small area; and the reserved tables that hog the best area though the mystery customers don't show up until 3 hours after you do and you're stuck in the back.
