For those who remember Morecambe & Wise (it's a British thing), they too shared a bed, as did Laurel & Hardy (how old am I) and who could forget Bert & Ernie's (Sesame Street) nightime escapades, especially when Ernie was 'scared' of the noises outside their bedroom window and kept going down under the covers ... sorry, dissappearing under the covers!
