Stickman's column last week dealt with the guys who get to Thailand one or two weeks a year and spend the other 50 weeks dreaming about it - and contributing to Web sites. I thought the following was all too true:
50 or 51 weeks at home is just too much and they eventually rationalise the big move. It would be far better living in Thailand doing this every night than dreaming about it in the cold, dreary West. (This group can be identified by their hate of all things Western.) http://www.stickmanbangkok.com/StickMar ... Boring.htm (http://www.stickmanbangkok.com/StickMarkII/BangkokItGetsBoring.htm)

"The cycle repeats year after year after year. Some are so in love with Thailand that they comprise major contributors to the Thailand websites, writing thousands of posts on the forums, or penning hundreds of items for sites which accept and publish full articles." Stickman

As apposed to the Western man than moves to Thailand and spends most of his time complaining how things don't work like they do in the West. How the Thais are doing things all wrong and likes to tell anyone who will listen that he has all the answers. When people stop listening, he finds a message board to post his expert thoughts.
