This takes the biscuit for Chinese hypocrisy (Singapore is the most Confuscist state on the planet). They go to great lengths to create a double bed and then request the occupants not to touch each other (nudge, nudge, wink, wink). Hypocrites to the core!

This only weeks after they justify not liberalising anti-gay laws with a "don't ask; don't tell" mumble.

The Sultan's boys would leave Singapore alone; the Singaporean government would encourage those among them who wanted some naughtiness to cross over to Johor Bahru - which they do, in droves
