This takes the biscuit for Chinese hypocrisy (Singapore is the most Confuscist state on the planet). They go to great lengths to create a double bed and then request the occupants not to touch each other (nudge, nudge, wink, wink). Hypocrites to the core!

This only weeks after they justify not liberalising anti-gay laws with a "don't ask; don't tell" mumble.

Return the place to the Sultan of Johore!I think you're missing the Faustian bargain Lee Kwan Yew made with the aforesaid Sultan all those years ago (the Sultan, for those who don't know already, is one of the leading figures in organised crime in Malaysia). The Sultan's boys would leave Singapore alone; the Singaporean government would encourage those among them who wanted some naughtiness to cross over to Johor Bahru - which they do, in droves
