Travelling around the North East last weekend I noticed many complexes with small bungalows inside. The complexes were named as тАШResortsтАЩ but further information from my boyfriend suggested that these were тАШshort time тАШrooms for locals.
There seem to be many around when I looked. Travellers do use these on occasions for the night but the major use is for sex away from the family etc. ThereтАЩs hot water showers and air-con .
150 Baht per hour and the business is very busy. A good business to have. I found three complexes around the village area outside Khon Kaen and I attach a photo of the new one just finished and full most nights. (for at least and hour)
So I wonder if you can pick a boy up from the paddy field and spend 150 Baht on an hour of lust inside.
These establishments are throughout Khon Kaen and Kalasin areas, I donтАЩt know about other areas.

I know of one here in Chiang Mai near the airport. A large complex surrounded by a wall. Many rooms, all with private garage hidden by some kind of large drape so that when you drive through it, youтАЩre totally hidden. No one can see who is getting out of the car, or what is going on in the car. Rooms are very clean, with nudie artwork (all female) on the walls and mirrors on the ceiling. The TV has 2 Thai channels and 5 porn (all straight) channels. Giant bathtubs for two as well.
Not sure of the price as it is always set up in advance by my uni student geek. I guess he still lives at home or has a boyfriend or something.

I am astonished that while having an extra-curricular event with "your" (I assume?) student you took the time to count the channels on the TV.

Sorry, perhaps I didnтАЩt word that right. I am not his teacher, nor am I a teacher. However, he is still my uni student тАЬgeekтАЭ. Geek (thai spelling) is, and correct me if IтАЩm wrong, in thai someone who has a boyfriend, or wife, but has other lovers on the side. Those other lovers are geeks. IтАЩm sure IтАЩm his тАЬgeekтАЭ as well. And no, no questions asked. He has told me he is a uni student and has a boyfriend, but thatтАЩs about it.
ThatтАЩs the beauty of the hourly rooms. We can go there for some discreet fun, and then return to our family, boyfriends, lives, whatever. And by the way, he is a geek (nerd). Goofy cloths and glasses. But when the glasses come off, as well as the rest of his cloths, he a studley little guy.

On my first 2 visits to BFs village I stayed in the Local "resort" in Lahansai, Buriram
Similar to the original pic - it consists of 2 rows of bungalows

I asked him one time what the sign on the wall in the room said...
He said "short time no more than 2 hours"

I was shocked that there was a short time hotel in such a rural setting...
Was even more shocked to find out i was staying there! :clown:

Well I'll be darned! The first time I visited boyfriend's home we stayed in a place just like that one in Issan, even down to the same style bungalow. Being a "short time" joint would explain why this nice little "resort" was out in the middle of nowhere, 5 minutes away from the nearest town. It also explains why we only saw guests staying for one night and leaving the next day even though we stayed 4 days.
It also explains the porno channel boyfriend found one night while I was asleep....but that's another story.

Oh yes,

Last year we were travelling with four friends in Buriram province. After visiting the Prasit Hin Phanom Rueng ruins, we didnтАЩt feel like going back to the same hotel we stayed at before in Buriram city. We had booked executive suites and found out that the room rate included the off fee for one girl a night at a nearby lady bar. Our driver said he had noticed a resort along the road. Off we went to this resort.

It was very special, rather basic as to the building, but with a really big bed and тАУ interestingly - a mirroring ceiling.

Later that night we found out that almost everybody indeed stayed for less than two hours. At any rate we slept well and continued our journey to Ubon. At 200 THB a night we couldn't complain except for the rather loose morals.
