airport taxes - new airport

As far as i was last aware the old 500bt airport depart tax was now included in your ticket price

is that right or have there been any recent cases of you paying this..............

Last departures (April and August, 2007) the 500 THB fee was included in ticket price.

It's a B700 baht passenger facilities charge now, and major airlines include it in the ticket, but one of the budget carriers does not (I can't remember right now which one). Look for an amount of the equivalent of THB700 followed by the code "TS" on your ticket.

I just left BKK this past sunday and they did not collect tax as they did in the past
