Welcome Plaza

I have just checked out the prices for Welcom Plaza in Feb via Asiarooms
The cost per room from Feb 7-13 is AUD 39.00 but either side of these dates is AUD 75.00 can someone plse explain
Sorry just realised my mistake - cost for room for 7 - 13 is 75.00 but either side is 39.00 AUD. Sounds pretty excessive to me either way

Feb 7 2008 is Chinese New Year......absolutely peak time with hotels and airlines throughout Asia.......fairly sure it will be the same at any resort area.

When I used the Welcome Plaza I always booked through their website... www.welcome.co.th (http://www.welcome.co.th)

It quotes a standard room in February at 900Bht a night with a 500bht surcharge for Chinese New Year period, excluding breakfast (which ain't worth the 100bht they charge), so about 32AUD and 50AUD

Of course there may not be standard rooms available for Chinese New Year
