There is a new great website listing and updating all Chiang Mai gay venues. You will find it in the site created by the Golden Ball Bar & Restaurant which has just opened in the northern part of the town (and which seems to have very interesting staff members too ...).

Also, gay map of Chiang Mai at Google maps :

Cannot wait to go there ...

Have you moved this from the Chiang Mai report thread?
Just wondering.

Yes I thought that the news would be more visible for everyone and was worth to get its own thread.

liz, Thank you for introducing this excellent site.

I was very sad to read that Simon Cabaret has closed. They had a terrific show there but it never seemed to have much publicity and the location did not help. I wonder if Simon Cabaret Phuket has survived.

I was also interested to read about the Shan Boys - Tai Yai there which helped on a rail on Gay Ting Tong.

I was in Phuket in April / May and Simon Cabaret was still going strong then. I believe this low season has been very tough on Thailand (allo axcept BKK probably), so anything can happen. I think they're in it there for the long haul though.

If it was closer into town it would do a lot better even at the prices they charge, which are considerable.

Cheers
K.

Richsac, Thanks for the news about Simon. Well I hope that Simon Cabaret lasts. Fantasea is something else - absolutely fabulous and must see - IMEO ( In My Expert Opinion )
