Flirting gone wrong
http://gayboythailand.com/bangkok-thail ... one-wrong/ (http://gayboythailand.com/bangkok-thailand/flirting-gone-wrong/) .
I met a sweet young man yesterday and chatted him up when he was with a group of friends, only to watch it end in horror.
I am still not sure how or what happened, but the boy was severely beaten on the street by members of his family.
I had left by then, but I heard the yelling and turned back and watched it from behind a corner.
First an older woman shouted at him, then a man slapped him, and finally another man kicked the boy
while he was down, rolled up like a ball on the pavement protecting his head with his hands. He cried, or howled, loudly.
Two dozen people watched it on the street. His friends climbed up on a truck to get a better view. A child cried. Nobody said anything.
I tried to go over to the boy but a bystander stopped me. He was probably right I should not interfere.

of this horrific recount of a recent Indonesian visitor ...traveling from Thailand
and a cautionary need for awareness for all who travel outside Thailand to neighboring countries.
