Although I have been to more than my share of massage establishments in LoS, I am never sure of the expectations from the massage boys on what the customer is supposed to do during the massages, so I generally end up just lying there and doing nothing. This seems to frustrate the massage boys to no end, except for the straight ones, who don't mind at all.

So, what is the expected behavior of a customer in such an establishment?

Yes I go to Blue House MASSAGE in Pattaya about twice a day when im there,mainly because I like their "soap wash massage".

I am not so much into massage, I go to those places mainly for sexual pleasure. You do need to take initiative, treat him just like any other sexual partner you have. If you are top, you should tell him before you hire him since some of those guys don't bottom.

I don't know if what I generally do counts for standard etiquette, but I do what suits me. In just about all places, the massage boy will give you a 40 - 45 minute massage (or at least his best imitation of a massage), and through that period, I will of course just lie there and let him work on me.

At some point, it will be obvious from either the way he has positioned himself very close to me or sitting on top of me, that the massage is basically over and part 2 is for the asking. Alternatively, he's not on the bed, but his hands are doing not massaging but fondling.

I think the "etiquette" is whatever the buyer (you) wants. The boys don't know what you want unless you tell them. If you lie down and relax you will probably get only a massage except, perhaps, near the end of the hour when he may try fondling you in hopes of encouraging you to give him a better tip.

If you start the session by actively encouraging sex, then that is probably what you will get.

Personally I usually take the boy off back to my hotel room. To a degree it depends on what sort of house you are in. Broadly speaking there are:

1) Places like Albury, Aqua, Narcissus and Hero massage is a euphemism for sex probably with more or less massage foreplay. You choose a boy from a room or a book. You are expected to pay the boy a hefty sum Bt700++? on top of the massage fee. Sometimes boys avoid cumming so they they can take care of subsequent customers.

2) Some places like Sanctuary and Candle T seem to go less far and you will normally get a very good massage and a very happy ending. You can often choose a boy though they may just recommend one. The masseur may or may not go in for full body contact. Tips here are lighter and a few hundred baht seems in order. They work on you so that an erection is virtually impossible to avoid unless you indicate that that is not wanted.

3) Other places are basically Massage only Marble House, Wat Po, Healthland, Babylon! etc. You cannot slelect your masseur but can say if you want a male or female In these places it is usually massage only though there are often entepreneurs who may cautiously do something or will arrange to meet you later. For massage only the tip, if any, is up to you.

I think that Newbie OP is talking about the first category. I think that as others have said, the customer calls the shots and you can expect a good massage and move into other directions when the mood takes you. That is likely to happen sooner if the masseur is not very good. I can only make the assumption that when you enter a sex massage place where services are provided by women, there is already a certain expectation of what will be provided and that the girls, who are more than likely heterosexual, are willing to provide this. In a male massage place, the definitions may not be so clear. The male masseur may be gay or straight, either way the masseur may or may not indulge in intercourse either passively or actively. Like some sex workers they may want to terminate the arrangement as quickly as possible and bring a happy ending to their client that suits them and allows them to receive payment with the least amount of contact. Basically, what I am saying is that I assume there are differences between male and female sex massage parlours and that the only way you can definitely get the service you want is by going on recommendation and by specifying your requirements beforehand. If you don't ask then you may be lucky and find the one masseur that fills all your needs, but from what you say, this has not been the case so far.
