I had mentioned on the beach I had switched from glucosamine tablets to the newer combined tablets

I received an email saying they are not available in Pattaya from my friend is living near Rayong,

He claims he cannot buy the combined tablet in Pattaya.

I do not need a prescription but buy from a health shop.

Is there anyone with joint or joint wear, cartilage wear or joint pain that has a contact in Pattaya

for these tablets or something similar.. I think they are marvellous.

Ask at Fascino Pharmacy by City Hall Pattaya North Road it is large and has Bangkok connections major company in Thailand. If they dont have them even to order you will find it hard to get them. I buy my reg cancer meds from there with a Members card very cheaply compared to Hospitals.

Boots ... they do an awful lot of stuff there, (the one in the shopping centre on Beach Road) if not, why don't you ask them if they can order, I actually take them myself. I will there at Xmas so if you want me to bring you load, let me know, as they do buy 2 get 1 free sometimes in the UK.

Watch Boots. they are very expensive when compared to Fascino.

Example. I take Omeprazole a drug which reduces stomach acid. Caught short of them, I went into Boots and bought one pack of their generic brand. 14 tabs B280. I thought "Wow that seems expensive when I think of what I pay at Fascino".

So I checked. Same drug exactly at Fascino Baht90 or 2/3 rds less!!!!

Sattahip: FYI -- you'll also find that Omnaprazol is also 90-100 baht at Siam Drug shops, as well as the chemist next to Bamboo bar in Jomtien.

... yes, a thread was opened earlier about Viagra branded stuff vs not branded. I also noticed the difference between the omprozole branded stuff, I think one brand that I was offered was around 1500 bht, but it was the real stuff (or was it). The cheaper brand was as you said. Anway ... be careful - you don't know where the cheaper brands are made. China has come up in the news a few times recently with "problems" with lots of products, that the US are investigating (well they are not just singling out the US, they are doing it across the board, however, I think it is aimed at China). There was also the case of the Doctor in China where there was something wrong with preparation of medicines, I cant remember exactly. Counterfeit, contamination all come to mind.

Anyway, I would rather buy a brand that have passed local certification processes, in this case, Thai medicines have a telephone number and reference quoted on them where you can contact the relevant body to see if the medicine is "ok".
