You hear so much about Issan and Chaing Mai boys on here but so often nothing from Bkk or other cities or regions. I was particularly fond of the Issan Boys I knew and I loved the Mountain boys that drifted into Chaing Mai. I was wondering if there are preferences from other posters

July 16th, 2007, 11:22
I find great boys in all the regions. Bkk is a blend of all regions tho as most big cites are. The southern boys seem to be darker skinned while the northern guys are lighter. Intersting tho is that the one from border areas tend to look like a blend of cultures. Example,I know several guys on the berma border that are striking with thai and burmese origins. My first bf was a thai/burmese boy that was extremely well endowed and I have yet to find his match in pattaya. Strinkingly beautiful and just a real sweetheart also,he is 29 now and just as handsome today as back then. I remember being in Chiang Mai and going thru an outdoor floral shop and seeing one of the most beautiful guys I ahve ever seen. Of course I kept going back and got to be friends but he had a gf and was from a well to do family so nothing but a freindship wa ot be had.

My guy once said to me that Thai people think that the most handsome men in Thailand are from Surat Thani.

Although I have no way of knowing for sure ... at the time he said it we were sitting in an outdoor suki restaurant in that same town, on the walking street of one of those ubiquitous night market/fairs Thai folks are forever putting on. I was lazily watching the crowds go by and simply mentioned that there was certainly a lot of handsome men doing the evening stroll. That's when he said it ... and at least from one night's experience, I'm willing to believe it.

Will go back soon for a more scientific study.

Cheers ...

The Thais are not chicken and they are not producing children. Handsome Boys coming from everywhere in Thailand

I am sure Wes didn't mean to treat the Thai boys as produce but unfortunately his wording could lead one to that
conclusion. Using the word "best" is not the best word to use

Some who would prefer lighter skinned guys would say guys from the North are the most handsome and others who
prefer darker skinned guys might prefer the provinces in Isan but of course all are generalizations and there are
beauties everywhere as well as the not so handsome.
Wes means well but leaves himself open to the critics when he doesn't think about how he words his posting. Again,
of course, this is just my opinion and there is no shortage of them in case anyone was concerned... :cat:

It had been a long time since I stared a thread, the fact that I did not word it correctly is one of my Major problems when writing of any kind. You should see the shit my employee's get. My brave attempt was to find out who thinks the most handsome of boys come from, only to find that as with any group it is up to you. I generally like the lighter skinned boys however, I was a long time bf with a guy from Issan whom I still treasure the pictures of Noi although my last picture of him last year was disappointing.

So, please forgive my wording since it was in earnest that I tried to begin a subject that has for some time eluded me. It only expands my knowledge of Thailand to know where the guys are that are my type. I do realize I am a bit older than they are and tend to treat them as software for my computer. But if my good intentions were taken wrong then be sure I apologize to all the Thai of any color.

" ... Sounds like you and your buddies are pretty deep thinkers ... "
You want 'deep thinking' . . . go wallow in the peaty depths of Hedda's Hopper. You're pretty well his alter ego anyway.

There's nothing wrong whatsoever with the topic of this thread, despite the prissy attempts to stamp it as a cause-celebre. I've seen this general topic a number of other times on this board in the past (or one's with the same timbre) and they've not produced the silly PC'ed-up 'deep thinking' this one has.

To a great extent, this Board's all about ~ when one cuts to the chase ~ the less-than-Mensa theme of handsome Thai men and their wherabouts and possibilities. Simply asking for opinions where the Most Handsome hail from is hardly a crime worth the shrill bleatings above.

Cheers ...

It should be more than just a fucking worry to you Booze. Can you not recognise man by what you have stated in those words of yours above, that you will in all probability never be able to rid yourself of the shame of having uttered them? Can you also not see because of what you have said, just how fucking desperately you are in need of some very serious help?

Get on the phone immediately, if not sooner to your analyst and make an appointment at the the earliest possible opportunity; I suggest because of the urgency in this case, you plead with him to allow you to see him today. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u152/GeorgeThai/cool_shades.gif

You are the very last person on this forum I would have expected such a statement to have come from Booze and that is a fact. From my memory banks, I recall that Wes was the whipping boy of the forum or perhaps it was the
pattayagay forum and several posters would rip apart Wes' postings and authored threads. Wes
seem to be somewhat masochistic and enjoying the attention but was certainly ineffective in stopping
the bullying and often feed them with irresistible bits to chew on.
Smiles is accurate when he states that the thread was harmless but could be seen as politically incorrect
and wes seems to invite that type of response. Kinda like wearing the "kick me" sign in school..

It is a time of political correctness and many of us cringe when posters talk about the boys as "fresh meat"
and to "get excited when the next delivery is due". One of the loudest politically incorrect posters has gone
silent and one source suggested he got what he deserved. Time will tell... :cat:

You are absolutely right your memory banks serve you well, you must have changed your name as I don't remember you very well except your most recent posts. You as well would have made a great psychological scientist to discover such things and remember all of this this for so long a time.. Back then I didn't bother with how to spell and was hopeless in my writing, in that all you say is correct. It however, never meant as far as I was concerned, that I didn't have valid point hid among all the typoтАЩs and poor writing techniques, not to mention my vocabulary was all theological and if you were on that subject matter, probably no one knew it better than I, but on a gay forum how often do we get theological. Oh well, for the record you are right, and X who was my arch enemy at that time has moved to Pattaya and mellowed quite a bit and smiles only recently realized who I was. Hedda is I guess ,on another board ripping people like me apart and I being of a gentle nature do not enjoy it, but if I think my point is valid no matter how well presented it has a right to be heard. As far as political correctness is concerned everyone here in Kyrgyzstan still call Black people Niggers. Now, I did not pen that phrase to get anything started it is the simple truth and I teach all my staff the difference especially with the Air base so close. Here they have no Black people so there is no issue. Political correctness then becomes relative to the speaker or writer in this case. I simply wanted to know where to go and what to look for on my next trip there and the CNN Asia special on Burma was still in my mind as some of them were strikingly good looking men. If I was incorrect and my inability to post a topic and also be politically correct then you have my full apology. Not as a whipping boy but as a learning situation for me. Smiles, I really did always like until recently when he seemed to be on the rag, but soon he will see his bf and he will be back to normal again.

I always put the boys from Chiang Mai at the top of the scale in the "looks" department, that is, before I visited Chiang Rai.

Boys from the northern most city of Chiang Rai are nothing short of Walking Angels.. The real gems, at least in the eyes of this beholder, are from thet ethnic tribes in the province, e.g., Karen, Lisu, Lahu, Akha, Meo, Yao, etc., the most stunning being from the Lisu and Akha tribes for some reason. I have no idea how there blood lines trace back through history, but one thing I know for sure...they are drop-dead beautiful.

Traditionally, they wear a lot of clothes, even when the weather is hot, and all you can see is their faces...and they're breath taking. But if you find a waterfall, and there's many, you will see them in all their splendor...and they don't know the meaning of SHY. I have some great pictures I shot during my last trek in the region of a group of about 15 boys from a neighboring Akha village.

I would love to post a few pics here except they're completely naked and half of them are young boys in the 12-15 Y.O bracket, and we have a few members who aern't mature enough (or, normal enough) to handle that. The most beautiful boy I've ever captured in my lenses appeared to be around 15 Y/O. He was standing in about 2 feet of water at the base of the waterfall surrounded by a halo of colorful mist - as if a rainbow was flowing through the waterfall at that givien moment...just precious.

The working boys in places like PTY, BKK, Phuket, etc., who are mostly from Isaan, would be out of business if the hill tribe boys ever decided to dance for a living.

There are Chinese-speaking "hilltribe" villages in the North, that are mostly the descendants of Kuomintang soldiers who ended up there when the Communists took power.

From what I understand, the offical Thai language that most of us are accustomed to hearing, and the main language that's taught in Thai schools, is referred to as Central Siamese. Some people refer to this as "Bangkok Thai". The Hill Tribes people speak Kam Muang (spelling?) (or Yuan). Kam Muang is not a debased dialect of Bangkok Thai, but a distinct - and endangered language. I think this language has its roots in Khmer.

I can't make heads-or-tails of it, but it sure sounds sexy flowing from the lips of an Akha boy.

Actually, there are many hilltribe groups (Akha, Lisu, Lahu, Karen, Hmong, etc.) living in Northern Thailand, and each has their own language.

The Chinese villages are relatively better off -- and better educated -- as the Republic of China (Taiwan) pours money into them liberally, insuring that the population receives a good Chinese education (and remain loyal to Taiwan).

Aunty
July 18th, 2007, 18:13
As I understand it the Thai are not the indigenous people of 'Thailand' but are descended from the Bai of Southern China who fled ahead of/were displaced to SE Asia by the ethnically cleansing invading hordes of Genghis, and grandson, Kublai Khan. Some of the Hill Tribes people may well be the indigenous people of the area as are the Khmer. Their language certainly won't be Thai. It would be interesting to see how closely related they are in a linguistic sense.

July 18th, 2007, 21:29
Oh, forgot to mention. Kam Muang as mentioned by Dodger above is not a "hilltribe" language. It is the language of Northern Thais -- the majority, mainstream population of Northern Thailand.

All of the hilltribes found in northern Thailand are also found across a wide splash of the region: in Burma, China, Laos, and Vietnam, primarily. Like the "Thai" people, most are believed to have migrated south from China.

Dodger
July 19th, 2007, 06:52
Boygeenyus,

I think what you just read on the internet is a bit misleading. The people of Northern Thailand, including Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, speak the same Siamese launguage that I referred to before as "Bangkok Thai." People who have visited those regions, who speak and/or comprehend this mainstream langauge, seem to identify with this immediaetly. The Hills Tribes in the North all seem to have their own mutated dialect of Kam Muang, which, from what I've been told by the Nothern Thai people, has it's roots in Khmer.

The only other people I've come across who speak Kam Muang are the residents of places in North Central Thailand like Uttaradit and Phrae. I believe the reason for this is that these provinces have a large population of direct decendents of the various hill tribes, only they have adopted the lifestyle, including the manner of dress, of the mainstream Thai population. I spent 7 weeks traveling with a boy from Uttaradit I(Akha) and if he wasn't a top I would have married him...LOL

In any case, it's an interesting topic.

Isan is the northeastern part of Thailand, and its inhabitants are mainly ethnic Laotians.

Dodger
July 19th, 2007, 21:51
The people of Isaan actually speak Lao, which is simlar to mainstream Thai. Reason being, is that the Isaan Region, which covers about 1/3 of Thailand, used to be part of Laos back in history. The Thai and Lao alphabets are very similar, as he Thai alphabet was actually derived from the Lao alphabet.

Here's a few of the differences:

If you say "Hello" to someone from Isaan, you say "Sabai Dee." For all other Thais (excluding Hills Tribes) you would say "Sawat Dee."

My BF can't pronounce my name right because of the "R" in Victor, as there is no "R" in the Isaan (Lao) alphabet, so he just calls me Da ling...LOL

Another important difference between the two dialects is the term "I Love You" which is commonly used by us farangs after that first bottle of 100 Pipers. If he's from anywhere outside of Isaan it's...Pom Rak Khun. If your starlet is from Isaan, it's...Khoi Hak Jao.

Chok Dee

I don't know how you pull it off, but I've seen the photos and it's quite obvious you certainly have balls I don't have! But I do admire your uncanny knack of finding a trusty mount and a good ride wherever you are in Thailand! It's a credit to you.

Actually Edith I'm surprised it's taken you so long to join this thread. I mean with your vast experience of Thai boys' from all of Thailand's provinces, and then some, well you'd have enough material to fill a library, and a very very big one at that! Of course I haven't had your luck my dear. As the shy retiring type I've only ever known a few Thai boys' in my travels to Thailand, not the whole country. But then I do tend to avoid wearing short skirts without panties while walking downtown! Thanks for the praise, Tante cher, but I really don't deserve it: my good fortune; or, 'uncanny knack,' as you put it so sweetly: of getting into (others) knickers (Knicker-knack? Sounds like a tacky ornament won on a pier in Blackpool!) gives me such great pleasure; that selfless act is it's own reward: I simply do not deserve accolades or.... Gawd! That reminds me of poor Pearl: she's had clap so often ... it's like applause!... A standing ovation when she has to smack the damn thing against the side of ... le pissoire, la bidet .... what ever's at ... hand--I'm sure you know what I mean.

I don't come here so often now: been traveling, writing my memoir and, while I'm always in season, it's my busy season (the fleet's in.)--And how can you say you're busy, when you're BUSY! Perhaps I should stop giving them breakfast?... And jello-shots.

I just saw that button thingie that says, "URL" ... `Thought it said, "URINAL"--And damn near peed on it! I think I'm up too late. Bye-bye!

On most other message boards, a poster stating his pedo instincts/activities so blatantly as in the above comment would have got himself banned, his IP address reported to the authorities and his computer raided soon after.

So, other posters who doesn't share your pedo inclinations and fascination for naked 12-year-olds lack maturity? The lengths to which the playground stalkers go to justify their perversion astounds me sometimes, but, really, not surprising for this board.

Please get help before you ruin some 12-year-old's life.

I have no idea how there blood lines trace back through history, but one thing I know for sure...they are drop-dead beautiful.
mai pen rai

This is a fascinating topic and I now know where my next holiday in Thailand will be.
I found this interesting site with a little information about the different tribes and their origins.
Unfortunately, no photos of waterfalls :clown:

IwanUK,

Thanks for the interesting Link.

I found an interesting tie between "my handsomest of the handsome" the Lisu and Akha boys. Apparently, they are the only tribes who have their roots in Tibet. It seems that all the other hills tribes come from either China, Laos, or Cambodia.

Now I want to visit Tibet...LOL

I personally think you can talk about that age boys and not be a pedo. It was the best years of my life swinging from some old rope from the pier into the pond near my house. I remember well the education I got while sitting on the sand waiting to dry off before you put your clothes back on. If you waited long enough Mom never knew you went skinning dipping the with guys. It was a part of my life I will always treasure. Smoking cigarettes and playing around . I had absolutely no idea there was anything wrong with it or that some pedo might be watching from afar. I think you can admire that part of your life and appreciate the fun that came with it with out masking some deep dark secret that in some way my Ni eve world was wrong . It was when I was with a girl naked I felt something to be wrong or, at least so my mother said any way. I loved the innocence of that part of my life and managed to quit smoking as well as doing boys under 18!

I think in my later years I have differentiated between boys as under 18 and Boys above 18 and Old men. Boys below 18 tend to make me feel a bit uneasy as if Mom( My never ending Conscience )says its wrong and then thier are boys all the way up to 28. They all are boys to me, although they may not feel like a boy and some may even be offended by such a statement. Then there are young men 28 to 35 and older men 35 to 50 ish. Then there are old men generally over 65 the ones in the category between 50sih can extend as far as you feel 50ish.

I think 17 Love to dance to all the new stuff and only mildly let my Grey hair get in the way of that. Age is so relative its almost with out boundaries. I think when I get to be a cranky old man, is when I need to just let my life lead me to reruns if Gun smoke and a good book and forget about the boys altogether. It is my intention to stay 17 as long as time with allow me the luxury of breathing. Until then I refuse to die. Some succumb to death and let it over take them. I personally plan to live until I am 16 again.

From my memory banks, I recall that Wes was the whipping boy of the forum or perhaps it was the
pattayagay forum

And before that he was and maybe still is a regular poster on "cruising for sex" with some Russian name and wrote some juicy trip reports :clown:

Yes, my Name is Ivaninvonovtch and I do have some spectacular stories for that forum. I often visit the forum. You really get some weird shit over there, nothing wrong with that to each his own... :colors:

Might be called: "reflections of an aging ex-gogo boy" . . . back on the farm in Sisaket at 42, remembering.

Cheers ...

I am aging no doubt and on a pension I do with out the underwear, much to the dismay of all who have to look at it when I squat, that isn't that a nasty thought. Yes I am still in last nights dress with no underwear. God two nasty thoughts at once

It is impossible to claim to be anuthority on this subject as tastes are varied as there are members in the forum. Some times I have a picture in my mind of the perfect Thai guy. Then I meet someone who is caring and friendly and then my perfect image goes out the window. Also you don't have to limit the search to just Thailand. A happy liason occured one time in the Munich trainstation, the cute blond guys is still high in my memory. An while I'm at a French young man was one of my wildest night, ah Rue St. Dennis. ( mmm it may be spelled wiht on n ) My preference is boy next door type, but have the ability to judge a new guy by far more than his looks.

The burning question is, 'did Smiles ever go to Surat Thani to see for himself or not?'
Question to myself, 'why haven't I added andyinox to my foe list yet?'. Easy to answer, of
course, just bone lazy. :cat:

I have had him on ignore for sometime now, in-fact I had forgotten he still exists on the forum, if he ever says anything intelligent someone let me know so I can write it down. Ignore does save a lot of space on the forum for me, I like it because it is so small of a notice that he is on your ignore list you automatically just overlook him. it is a wonderful part of the new forum. I, like Smiles, hate to use it on anyone, however it is the final nuclear option.

Not sure if the question is that 'burning', but the answer is "yes". Been to Surat Thani a couple of times ... looked very hard ... and could easily understand where that reputation is justified.
