Makes you proud to be British!The line was originally Churchill's. One day (when he was later PM in the fifties), the police approached the Great Man and told him that one of his Ministers had been caught with a guardsman at 2am in St James' Park the previous Monday night. Churchill enquired "But wasn't that the coldest night of the year". On being told that indeed it was, he replied "Makes you proud to be British!"
