Penang is issuing Multi entry visas again

As of July 2, 2007, the Royal Thai Embassies and the Royal Thai Consulates will raise the visa fees as follows:

1. NON-IMMIGRANT VISA
o US $60.00 for single entry
o US $150.00 for multiple entries
o US $150.00 (APEC Multiple Entries)
o US $300.00 (Three-year Non-Immigrant "B" for Business and Work)

2. TOURIST VISA
o US $30.00 per entry

3. TRANSIT VISA
o US $25.00 per entry

Is it still correct that you do not need an advance Visa for a tourist of 60 days or less?
I only remember paying the EXIT fee at the airport on departure.

Can you enter three or four times a year with no problem as long as the stay is less than 60 days?

Splash4, if you live in a country eligible for the 30-day visa-waiver stamp, you can stay in Thailand on those visa-waiver stamps for up to 90 days in a six-month period. However, you can stay only 30 days at a time. If you wanted 60-days consecutively, you'd need to leave/re-enter the country to get a new stamp on/before the 30th day. To remain more than 90 days in a six-month period, then you need a visa of some sort. If you are planning a visit/visits cutting it close to 90 days in six months, be aware that the date of arrival into and date of departure from Thailand each count as one of the 30 days, essentilally leaving you with 28 full days per entry.

The "EXIT" fee at the airport is unrelated to the visa. It is a passenger-usage fee, which incidentally, is now included in the ticket so you do not pay it separately at the airport any more.

No...30-day visa-free stay is without charge, as usual.

A tourist visa is one you apply for in advance of your trip from a Thai embassy or consulate. It's usually good for 60 days.

When you arrive without a visa, you are given a 30 day visa-free stay.

qwertyboy, just so things don't get mistakenly confused and mis-informed: what country's passport do you carry?

It matters if you qualify for a visa-exempt passport stamp which is good for 30-days, a "Visa on Arrival" (NOT the same as a visa-exempt passport stamp) which is good for 15 days, or neither of these two programs.

That's good news as I have 6 family members joining me and as we come into the country twice 14 entry visa would add up to quite a bit!
