Usually go snorkeling when down in Phuket and Phi Phi but won't be headed that far south this trip. Does anyone know of any snorkeling out of pattaya? Or even a nice day trip on a "reliable" boat service to one of the islands. If anyone has any past experience with such, would love to hear the word. Thanks

Sure, there's lots of good snorkeling. Aquanauts Dive Centre, which has an office on Soi Pattayaland 1 (11:30 a.m. - 9 pm) has daily snorkeling trips. 1,000 baht gets you all day swimming & snorkeling, a great hot lunch, free soft drinks, nice seating (for sleeping) and a sun deck.

You can book there, on the website at aquanautsdive-dot-com or through reception at The Ambience Hotel in Boyztown.

............. there is a dive shop in front of View Talay Condo #1 in the small shopping mall across the street from Pan Pan Restaurant on Thappraya Road (the road from Pattaya to Jomtien).
