The deal with the owner of Siam Thani is that ST bookings are referred to Rama Kien , as you say, and for the most part guests are relaxed about this, and are advised by ST in advance. Problems have arisen when guests expecting to stay at ST have arrived there without having first seen the e mail telling them of the proposed change, and have organised their own transport rather than the ST arranged service.ST is indeed locked up pending the outcome of the legal action for enforcement of the unpaid mortgage and repossession.
There is a promotion available now for an unspecified period of TB 1600 per night inc breakfast for "checked - in" guests, for direct bookings with the hotel.
Its a little out of the way, as you will see from the map on the website, but they do have a car and driver available and can arrange motor bike hire and taxi bikes."
