Time magazine has picked the Marketing Organisation for Farmers' (MOF) market as the ''best shopping secret'' for tourists visiting the country.
The May 7 issue of Time currently on newsstands says the MOF market is a must-visit place for tourists because it offers Thai ingredients, traditional desserts, fruits and curries, among other items on sale by around 600 vendors.
The market's charms, locally known as Talad Or Tor Kor, have been overshadowed by the Chatuchak weekend market situated across Kamphaeng Phet road, according to Time.
Time says it ''is a comparatively clean, serene showcase of Thailand's seasonal fruits and highly-seasoned curries''.
