It is located Soi 17 near Soi Yensabai. Very very thai, but usually gets going extremely late 3.30am/4.00am.

Kevin.

Small, down a bit of a dirt track for parking! Most of the boys in Sunnee area know where it is! Not expensive. I don't mind it and have been a lot of times but not seen many foreigners.

and it's about time a gay hotel adopted their unique feature...closed circuit TV in the rooms that broadcasts the Kitten Club dancers downstairs. You can dial up and order a kitten from the telly..gives a new meaning to room service.

The hotels mentioned above don’t charge joiners fees.

The Ambiance in Pattaya is excellent with very good rooms at resonable prices and truly magnificent service.

Avoiding joiner’s fees is simple:
1. Don’t arrange prepaid accommodation for a longer period of time. Once jour payment is collected by the hotel, they try to make some more money and some receptionist's are getting a hefty share of the fees.
For sure the hotel will not pay you back any if you leave early.
As soon as the hotel staff is trying to press you a joiner's fee, make sure that you’re not paying for “nothing” i.e. ask for extra breakfast if not already included in your room rate.
Just stay cool, be friendly and make your point clear that you like to have a word with the manager next morning and you’re leaving soon after if they really try to extort money from you for nothing.
2. Some hotels do not like to have too much prostitution going on there premises and like to play it down. If you are discreet enough, usually nobody will be bothered.
2. Make sure you’ve booked and paid for a double room. If the hotel is trying to charge you for your overnight guest you’ve got any reason to complain successfully. While checking in alone, just tell them that you companion is a Khon Thai which might arrive somewhat later.

I never ever paid any joiners fees, neither at The Oriental, The Rembrandt in Bangkok, any Amari or Dusit hotel where I stayed for business resons nor at any of the one or two star hotels anywhere else in Thailand.

I agree with this. If you find you don't like the hotel and wish to leave early, some will charge you for a few extra nights stay. On the other hand, if you do book a short stay and then decide to stay longer at the same hotel they may tell you that 'we no longer have a room at the price you paid, so you will need to upgrade to a more expensive room'. Don't believe a word, just state that its not a problem and you will leave as planned and find a cheaper hotel. They will either suddenly find a room at the same price or will say they'll have a word with the manager and get back to you - within a day they'll have found a room at the same price.

I also found the following a very friendly and reasonable place to stay with all the usual amenities and much better (lighter/brighter and with balcony) rooms than say the Ambiance or Cafe Royale: http://www.diamondcitypattaya.com/index.html One disadvantage is that it is at the end of South Pattaya Road (close to Champ Esarn and Friendship Supermarket) and a good 10-15 mins walk to Boystown (baht 10 on the bus) but only 5 mins walk to Sunee. Cheapest monthly rate is baht 8,800 (28 nights at Diamond City compaired to 8 nights in Ambiance).

Of course, Ambiance Hotel and Cafe Royal are very convenient if you want to stay in Boystown and the staff excellent.
