If some people are getting that police message when trying to access that site, it means that the Thai authorities are indeed trying to block access to it, which is the best they can do. Their blockage will meet with some mixture of success and failure. As members of this board discovered last year, If you really want to access a site, you can find a way to do so regardless of any blockage.

I wonder if this blockage is in any way related to the youtube controversy?

" ... that is because Pattaya is not the real Thailand ... "
Good one Jetsam! A phrase which be could easily be used in just about every conceivable situation which has no obvious or easy explanation: e.g. The Conundrums of Thailand (and life).

For such situations my favourites have always been " . . . yes, but only in the South . . . " or " . . . yes, but I'm off to the Mall . . . ", especially when my favourite Coffee Shop Bore (his name's Jeff) wants to talk about the darker implications of Nietzsche, or ~ like the other day ~ was overheard saying something along the lines of " . . . yes, I'm quite familiar with the writings of Machiavelli . . . " (STAGE DIRECTIONS: "everyone scatters for cover at this point, trying hard to be innocuous ... or better, invisible")

Cheers ...

Quite often the Thai Censor's blocks are incomplete. At some internet shops in Bangkok I still find Sawatdee blocked by the censor. I have a suspicion it is something to do with the ISP. I was surprised at how efficient the clock on youtube has been.
