Well you may well say that thrillbill, I of course could not possibly comment. Well other that to say that it isn't like Bangkok is putting it extremely mildly. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1452/5958747/14491765/245482839.jpg

Personally when I have had no choice other than to be there, it has bored me incredibably shitless. If you have no luck in seeking out what you are looking for, take a trip over to Sentosa Island. As I am not someone that is into the shopping in Orchard Road having been there and done all that, I find Sentosa about the only place there now that I am able to feel comfortable and relaxed. I hope you find what you are looking for. Choc Dee.

there is a very laid back bar in chinatown (backstage bar) take mrt china town, and go over at temple street, it's on the left side of the street, comparable with telephone/balcony.

edit: forgot the name of the bar

Look up fridae.com, the Singapore gay website has a comprehensive list of all the PLU places.

thrillbill, for clubbing, try PLAY - a new club on Tanjong Pagar Road, where Happy was before. This is the latest reincarnation of a popular club. Too early to say if it will be as successful, but likely to be. Also, try Mox Bar upstairs for chill out non-smoking! Taboo is still going strong around the corner on Neil Road.

The best saunas are probably Towel Club and Club17. If you are not familiar with Singapore, check out Fridae - City Guides - Singapore (http://www.fridae.com/cityguides/singapore/sg-intro.php) for locations, as has already been suggested.

Fridae, which is headquartered in Singapore, is more than a year out of date on their own city's listings mentioned above. Gone with the wind are places like Vincent's, Rairua, Club 95, Inner Circle, etc., etc. There are also dozens of other places missing.

For up-to-date Singapore gay scene info including a map (on-site survey just two weeks ago) check out http://www.utopia-asia.com/tipssing.htm

For me Backstage [in Chinatown] is the most relaxed bar in Singapore.
