View Full Version : Ain't that the truth!

Many postings confirm the truth of this statement
Repeated experiments show that 70 to 90 per cent of people consider themselves to be above-average drivers, which is obviously impossible. Other experiments show that people tend to overrate themselves in many other areas. That is, we commonly suffer from "self-serving bias" - we have an inflated opinion of our abilities. When things go well we tend to attribute this to our skill; when they go badly we tend to blame it on bad luck.
