One of my small lists of mind trivia include observing records for numbers of Thai folks who are able to sail down the road (helmetless of course) onboard a single 120CC Suzuki moped. Four is relatively common, but above that number the pickins are fewer and further between.

Found this great photograph on a photo album website of a record number (t least for me) at 6.
In fact, I've almost got myself convinced that it may possibly be 7, in that I think there may be even another head riding behind the young boy standing up. Look carefully and see if you can make out the odd black 'bump' of hair on his head.

Anyway, it's an excellent photo in it's own right . . . a lot of great Thai smiles here.

The shot was pilfered from a site which is well worth a look. Lots of touristy stuff, but it's huge and lots of good browsing: ( http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/Thailand/ )

Yes, either seven people--Or he'd been to my barber.

And me without a camera: one evening I was having dinner at Petite Planet. A motorbike passed with: man (Driver), lady--In spikes, mini-skirt & halter-top riding side-saddle on the jump-seat; between them were a boy & girl, about 6 & 8 years old all holding on to a 10-foot-ladder and a white poodle. Maybe they were moving out--Gypsy-style. Maybe they'd just had to get the dog out of a tree? Maybe one was starting high school?

Great photo, Smiles.

It's certainly true that we all see some sights. It's amazing what can be transported by motorbike, both people-wise and objects.

That's a fantastic image, Smiles. I just love seeing how the Thai can live life with such joyous abandon; it makes me smile, too!

I hadn't looked through my posted photos for a while and went back to revisit a couple favorites again this morning after seeing that one kid atop the human pyramid in the photo you found.

The boy here had been repeatedly dunking his sister in the water and nearly choked himself laughing about it.

Thanks for posting that image... it's a wonderful example of Thai attitude!

Could it be the same kid? At that age, joy is pure ... and has the same face everywhere ( "kumbayaaa" ... before Boygeenyus says it :blackeye: ).
Adults lose that somewhere down the line, unfortunately.
