I got a very brief email from my friend who just arrived in Pattaya. He mentioned a St Pats day special party at Throb and the Riverdance Irish style dancing including kilts

From the tone of his email that is the new show

Any locals care to comment. It seems that Throb might have at last introduced new shows.

Not before time in my opinion.

A friend saw these in a newsgroup today and sent them along to me, knowing I'd get a laugh out of the cultural mix. I'm guessing they're the images mentioned at the start of the thread.

I'm just posting 3 of the 8 or 9 images. No idea what club they're in - or what city, for that matter.

Indeed, but they don't wear tartan. The guy wearing the green kilt's got it right.

I suppose it could be amusing to watch the Thai try their hand at a little 'River Dancing'. At least they'll have better legs than those patsy white Irish things that thankfully, are covered up by the real River Dancers.

But when I first read this topic I thought when do I die from boredom? During or after the show? Just what the world needs. Hot blooded Thai boys' dancing like a bunch of Irish Nancys.

Was the show any good? What were they wearing under their kilts? I hope they were being authentic?

And so say all of us. it would ensure that Throb was packed to the rafters every night. At least the front row of seats.

Hehehe

Thanks for the link lonelywombat, I always thought the Irish didn't have tartan. I'm off now to see if my tartan's listed!

Riverdance has been done at Throb for over 6 six years. The show has gone from bad to worse.

Was in there on Monday night with agroup of people, as they advertise new showboys and new routines. We left after 10 min of the show. They have replaced the old showboys with the older Khataoy show from top man. Throb was one of the best bars in its time now its one of the worse.

I've always been a supporter of Throb, but the new show and the new dancers mean that it's the worst I've seen it. They have lost too many of the dancers since November and it seems that they want to totally change what was always an entertaining show to take visitors to. I stayed through the show last night... but with difficult. I am prepared to given them some time to get their act together, but teh new dancers make that improbable!

The Throb show has been crying out for new dancers for the last 2+ years

The guys in the show has become fat - not sure if they were all trying to copy Oh the ladyboy dancer - but thye were giving her a run for her money!

Some of the new guys in Boxers pics look quite handsome - so I'm looking forward to seeing them in 3 weeks when i get to LOS

Before anyone says it - I've nothing against fat people... But if i wanted to watch fat guys dancing... i could do it at home here in Ireland :-P

I cannot recall anything like riverdance at Throb in my last dozen visits. I used to go almost every night but also got pissed off by the beefy boys.

I used to adore the various boys when they did the kilted number"Donald wheres your troosers"

But if they did a kilted number and hinted the boys were naked underneath, then it could be a big draw.

ATM they always rip off their pants to finish each number.

In a kilted number to lift the rear of the kilt to show a piece of bare ass , without any full frontal, that would excite many of the former regulars.

One thing about the kilt, only the slim boys could wear the one kilt they own. I think. Thats good.

on my last trip at new year - Wild west boys had a very risque (for Pattaya!) show involving sarongs and around 5-6 boys who had obviously nothing underneath.

It mostly involved them attempting to do head/hand stands, break dancing etc... it also invariably led to one of the guys whipping off the others sarongs and they would then all proceed to chase each other around the stage and try to rip off the sarongs.

Most of the time there was plenty of "stong" eyefulls to be seen! :cyclopsani: :cyclopsani:

I'm just hoping the show will still be the same (or better) on my return next month... There's quite a few guys i have my eye on there... If BF agrees! :albino:

Maybe this is one of the beefy boys from Throb getting excited on St Pats day.
