I'm not much on heights, myself, so I didn't ride on the huge Ferris wheel at Suan Lum night bazaar (next to Lumpini Park) this past November, but I took photos of it from the Pinnacle Hotel hall window.

While going through some old family albums I was surprised to find this image from around 1906 of another wheel from the same company, this one in England. A similar wheel was used at the 1893 Chicago World's fair, then moved to St Louis in 1904 where you could ride it for 50 cents. I understand it cost Bt100 to ride it's modern-day "cousin" in Bangkok, a century later.
