Access to Australian TV in LOS

My friend arrived thursday in LOS for 6 weeks and has sent almost daily emails about the lack of OZ TV in BKK

He moves to Pattaya in a few days and has asked if his room does not have AustTV, is there a bar where
he can watch both NRL and AFL as well as the World Cup Cricket

There was a bar in Walking Street showing Aust football both codes, but he did not like the crowd last visit , but he was only there for one weekend so it was not a problem

I think he is staying in a condo he found on the net.

Some cable packages include ABC Asia-Pacific, now renamed "Australia Channel?"

They show some AFL and NRL games.
This is the only option I know, but maybe there are other options that someone can point out.

I remember watching the AFL playoffs while I was in BKK last year. I'm not sure if it was on the Australia channel or if it was on Star Sports.
