Looks like one of the Marriott Phuket Resort properties has made inventory of
available rooms for about $60 US as seen on successful bid via Priceline...

This is low season ..and it now may be possible to get a real deal in Phuket at Marriott.

Have not seen this low of a rate in Phuket for a Marriott for a long - long time.

Marriott Resort Phuket is a beautiful property, but quite far out of town, isolated and inconvenient ...best if you go with a boy special for a honey moon, otherwise you may be bored to death there.

If it's the JW Marriott Resort you're talking about, it's so far away from Patong (well over an hour's drive) that you might as well be in another province. It's nice, though.
