The bars will be closed on the day itself, as I discovered to my disappointment a few years ago, it was my last night and boyz town was ghost town :( , Makha Bucha is the most important Budhist holiday.

My Bf reckons its on Feb 12th?

He always does something big in his village on this day every year... Gathers up all his "gang" and they have a parade to the temple!
