The Nation reports that storm are coming to N and NE Thailand...
Maybe the rainy season is starting soon ???

Northern, northeastern residents warned of tropical, hail storms

The Meteorological Department Monday warned people in northern and northeastern provinces to brace themselves for possible tropical and hail storms.

The department said in a statement that the storms could hit the regions starting from Tuesday and the bad weather could continue until Thursday.

The storms could happen because of influence of a powerful high pressure mass from China, which is moving downwards and could reach the Northeast of Thailand on Tuesday.

Isn't rainy season supposed to start in June???
Is it going to be a "wet" Songkran?

March and April are suppose to be the hottest months but an occasional shower is not unheard of. I am arriving April so a shower or two would be a welcome relief from the heat.

Rainy weather doesn't mean it is rainy season. March starts the hot season and rain is relatively rare most years until July when the rainy season starts. Thailand has three seasons and even if it pours rain this is not the rainy season..
