Looking to visit Thailand and Laos in May this year.
Normally book my return international flights here in UK.
I was wondering if anybody had booked one way tickets from Bangkok to UK using a Bangkok travel agent and if so what savings were available compared to UK?
Prefer business class on Qatar airways if possible.
Any help or WWW addresses would be appreciated.

Booking one way flights only can be very expensive. For a one way ticket from Bkk to LHR or somewhere else in Europe the airlines charge at least 2/3 of standard return price + all the now common extras on top. Quite rare are special promotion prices of last minutes bargins.

The benefit of going to Thailand on a one way ticket is that a lot of the tickets on offer in Thailand are open 1 year returns. You can go to the UK on it and when using the return leg back to LOS on the next trip its fully flexible. Meaning that you can change reservation dates as often a you like, also or be a no show with no penalty even on the cheapest economy tickets.

One good travel agency in Bangkok is Chawla Travel www.chawlatravel.com (http://www.chawlatravel.com) they also specialize in business and first class tickets. ttom is right a one way from the UK can be expensive but if you look around you my get a good deal.
