Hiv testing

This is a serious ask ,can I get a guy tested and get an accurate responce from anywhere near Pattaya?

Any hospital. Of course, you'll be getting tested along with him -- and you'll continue to have safe sex regardless of the results...right? (Say, "right.").

I have heard it can take many months after one is infected for the HIV test to show a positive result.
Unfortunately, if something happened that you fear endangered one or both of you, you will have to retest in several months to be sure.
We assume this was a sexual situation but if it was shared blood via injections, the risks are much higher.
I recently took the HIV test at Bangkok- Pattaya Hospital as part of a complete physical exam and there was no consulting available
or brochures or anything, just the results. I was completely pleased with all my results, especially as I hadn't had a HIV test in many years. good luck with the testing ..

Antibody testing will not detect HIV immediately after exposure, during the window before the development of antibodies. If you are tested too soon, your result may be negative despite the fact that you are infected (false negative). Because of this, repeat testing is important. You should have another HIV antibody test in 3тАУ6 months from the time of a possible exposure to the virus.

The British STD Clinics insist that 3 months is the window of infection. A 3 month period of sexual inactivity means a negative is a negative. Having said that, I would personally feel more comfortable waiting 6 months which I did. Tests are available now with a result in an Hour.

If the issue is possible acute infection, a viral load test will be positive within around 2 weeks of infection. This is often associated with other signs of Acute Retroviral Syndrome (see links below).

Viral load will then go down again, before an antibody test becomes positive up to three months after infection (longer in rare cases).

I am not up with the latest on antiretroviral therapy in this early window. If you are in this position your doc should advise.
