giving money for allan

In another topic much was said about bars giving to causes. Its nice to know the cafe is helping out , but again there is no mention of how much money will go to allans fund , all that is said is a portion.Why not say 15 , 20 % etc , this is what causes guys to get pissed off with giving.

Did they pass a hat at the bar or did the bar say that if you drink there that night they will give a portion of the proceeds to the cause?

If the bar says they will give a portion of the proceeds.... Charges the same price for drinks and pays for promotion then I would think that what they give is their own business and do not owe anyone anything other than to give the proceeds they choose to give.

If the bar says they are collecting money for a cause and will give all donations received to a certain cause then they owe a full accounting to the donating public.

That is what I think.
