This question was posted on another board by a person who wishes to support it.

I shall respond on this board as posting images is so much easier.

And as you will notice, the best map I could find was by our friend Idaho on GayPatayanтАЩs invaluable website. Through the years he has given us so much.

For those who can't read the name (as Geezer has splashed red paint all over it), it's the 'Non Cafe'.

Non-disguised version here: http://www.pattayagay.com/pattaya_maps/mappage1.html (click on "Sunnee Plaza" map)

I have eaten several times at Non Cafe and enjoyed the food. I have only eaten the Thai food there but
they also have western dishes. You can watch the doormen from Playboy2 try to entice the punters to
turn up soi Yensaibai to Playboy bar, very close to Non Cafe.

I heard it was supposed to be Nong Cafe but the sign-maker erred, but what is important is that it is a nice
convenient and inexpensive place to dine and just out of the Sunee Plaza area and also close to the Day Nite
area.

I have passed the Non Cafe many times and have stopped in and enjoyed several good meals - both Thai and Western food.

I really think they serve (and I hate to say it this way...sorry Niddy's)
the BEST "Cashew Chicken" and Rice dish in Pattaya. And it is reasonably priced with large portions.

And their Mixed Salad is fresh and crisp...and delicious - huge portion.

But I do think Ken should consider renaming the restaurant to "Ken's Cafe" or Ken's Non-Cafe" ..or Ken's Nong Cafe" (if they had tried to have the name Nong in the beginning).

I know there is a Thai partner - who I think owns 20%...but the goodwill and personality of Ken is the real winner in drawing the guests to the dinner table.

Therefore, I believe the name "Ken" should be in the name of cafe!
Just a thought....

I think the place was once called Chez Nong. The service & food were good (bf actually would ask to go there), maybe they wanted to keep an identifying mark\prior good will.
