Want a reasonably priced diagnosis.............Bangkok Christian Hospital is conveniently located
Any suggestions?

It's the best choice you can make if you around Silom. The Bangkok Christian Hospital is not cheap (by Thai standards) but a very good university hospital with most modern equipment and well trained docters. Room rate (2 sharing, which is less boring...) including meals and nursing care fee is about 1400 TBT per day. The total check up etc. will probably not costs more than 3300 TBT. They will explain everything in detail prior any decission.

The Bumrunrad is in my opinion and own experiance not as good as it often sounds but very expensive. The BNH at Soi Convent is also not bad but less well equiped and definitely not cheap either.

I would go to the Bangkok Nursing Home ahead of any other hospital in Thailand, and I've been to a few!

I've had three hospital experiences in Thailand over the years.

First one was Bangkok Nursing Hospital...excellent service that seemed very inexpensive to me. The facility was top notch, and my doctor spoke excellent English.

Second experience was in Pattaya at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. Again, excellent service, great staff, and very inexpensive.

Third experience was when my bf, who lives in Pattaya, had to have surgery. I insisted he leave Pattaya Memorial Hospital (where he originally went to save baht) and go immediately to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. I was there for the surgery and I was extremely impressed by the service, the staff, and the facilities.

Good luck to your friend.

I will add my recommendation for BNH. Top notch service and facilities. Much more personal (personable?) service than at Bumrungrad. BNH doctors don't seem rushed and will take time to answer questions and address any concerns you might have. Bumrungrad seems more like a high-volume processing center to me.

Bangkok Nursing Home has been bought by the group that owns Bangkok Pattaya Hospital

So will it become the Bangkok Bangkok Hospital, to differentiate it from the Bangkok Pattaya and Bangkok Phuket Hospitals?
