Once again I lost my mobile phone and had to go to AIS to get a replacement SIM card. The nearest was at Central World Plaza. I had been there a few months back and was impressed by what they had done with the dull old World Trade Center. Now ZEN has opened it's new cutting edge design Department store, Isetan had had a maekover and the public spaces are bright and cheerfull with an interesting selection of shops not just the same ones over again and again as in Siam Paragon. I got my SIM card - the service was lightening fast polite and cheerful at AIS! I browsed some publicity bumpf given out and 'joy of joys' Muji have opened in Zen so I sped off and bought some of those handy pill box towers for travel and quite a lot of other minimalistic Japanese knick knacks - the clothes there are only for the very slender. http://www.mujionline.co.uk/online/Online.asp I was rather surprised to hear that they already have a branch at Central Chitlom on the third floor.

The place is bright and airy, incredibly vast and connected to a skywalk to Siam Paragon and skytrain.

I really like Central World. I had to wait out a nasty rainstorm there last September, so spent some time exploring. Really nice decor and all the signs in English. It was still in the opening stages when I was there, so I look forward to seeing it with everything open.

IMO, that area with Siam Paragon and the other malls all connected is really one of the biggest and best shopping venues anywhere.

Yes, they're wonderful at keeping your steroids in order.
