View Full Version : HIV testing in Pattaya

I'm coming to Pattaya mid February and would like to get an HIV test. Anyone know where I can get one. I'm sure Bangkok Pattaya Hospital is an option, but it is a bit out of the way for me. Any suggestions and directions for clinics or labs would be appreciated.

Dr Sawaddipong does tests. Not far from boyztown. I had my leg burn treated there and he has several private treatment rooms. No idea what the cost would be.

If you're concerned, why wait?

If your from the states, just call your local county health department as you likely can obtain a free test there (and, yes, it's confidential).

I live in the middle east where it's not just as easy as that. I plan to have to some surgury in the summer in BKK and I don't want any nasty surprises when they do the pre-op blood work. Thanks for the suggestion Oogleman.

There are many clinics that can do an instant test for you and many tests for all areas of the world where you might be at risk or be from, your ethnic background is important. USA, UK, Japan, Mid East (I think) and Africa all have slightly different types to detect. Make the effort and go to Pattaya Bangkok 560 baht or if in Bkk the Red Cross Centre free i think now for quality testing worth having. Test regularly and often if at risk in any way (which means having sex with anyone). If you have decided where surgery is to take place I would go there and open your file now.

For some reason it might be wise not to give you’re real name. You never know where your data will appear sometime. Just having test made is indicating that you might be a person taking risky contacts.

This can be in particular important if certain insurances are involved.

It is always good to check regularly.

In Bangkok the Red Ross clinic for anonymous tests is just opp. Lumphini Park near Rama IV. There are also used to handle all kinds of foreigners.
