G.O.D. is coming....

G.O.D. - Guys on Display (apparently) was scheduled to open in Silom Soi 2/1 in the location of the former Freeman on 27th Dec, but it seems that date too has been missed....

They are now promoting a New Year's eve party, but we will wait and see.....

So G.O.D (Guys On Display) is female????????

And "IT" is pissed as in DRUNK or ANGRY, depending what side of the ocean you are on.

This reminds me of that bar in Day/Night which opened as "She Bangs" a few months back

After the normal hype on the boards and a few weeks later, he/she changes the name to "He Bangs"

But the damage had been done.

It closed after a couple of months.

Let us hope this new venue has some other surprises in store besides the name.

We went to their 'official opening' (what here we would call a soft opening) on Saturday (30th). They've done a nice job cleaning up the old Freemen, lots of bar space... but no toilet on the ground floor, and no handrails to/from the first floor. The DJ was excellent, and some of our friends stayed to dance until the wee hours.

Luckily we brought our own crowd, as there were not many others there. Did Anyone go on new year's eve?

A bottle of Absolut + mixers was about 2,000 baht -- I think this will come down (it's only 1,400 at Expresso) once they get themselves sorted out -- this time it seemed as though they had to go out and buy it.
