To disappoint those who wish that unfavourable news of Sunee Plaza is hidden away, the scourge of this cesspit - ie the availability of young boys, has once more hit the news.

No doubt they will try to make light of it yet again, claiming that it is an isolated incident. However, they cannot hide the fact that the area has again lived up to its reputation as a haven for paedophilia.

Frenchman arrested for filming lewd acts with boys

Boonlua Chatree, Pattaya Mail, 29 Decembr 2006

A Frenchman has been arrested on charges of creating pornographic materials with boys at his residence.
Issued with a warrant from Pattaya Provincial Court, police arrested Alain Paul Griffe, 48, at 5:30 p.m. on December 14 at his home on Soi Kaonoi, Thanyawan Village.
The police were acting on information that Griffe paid for the services of young boys from a beer bar in Soi Sunee Plaza, and that he would photograph and film them having sex with him and later post the material on internet sites.
Officers confiscated a quantity of photographs and CDs containing obscene materials that they found in his house. Griffe admitted that he paid the boys for sex and that he posted the pictures and films on websites.

And where does it say these boys were underage???
It says young boys. This can mean 18 - 19 years old.

It appears to me you have a need to read into something that isn't there due to your loathing of the Plaza.

You are right in the final few words of your last sentence.
However, equally, the article does not say 18-19 years old. Most sane people would classify young boys in this context as those who are under-age.

It appears to me that you seem to be trying to defend the indefensible. Sunee Plaza has a well founded international reputation amongst gays, and others, as paedophile heaven in Pattaya and no amount of obfuscation and acting like ostriches will alter that fact.

I suppose they may have been young but one can never assume anything from a newspaper report.

However if this chap has been arrested for breaking the law-then we can safely say Pattaya isn't a safe haven anymore ( and thank God for that !)

Does Sunnee Plaza still have this reputation ?. I haven't been to the place for about 3 years but I always found it fun..and not for that reason, mainly because I like a place you can walk around or sit and watch the passing parade. The place really needs for all the bar owners to get together and create the proper ( ie: within the law)image-like Boyztown has.

One swallow does not make a summer.

p/s before some clown butts in with the inevitable obscene pun - swallow in this context refers to the bird variety !! :p

Yes, Sunee still maintains it's reputation (much to the annoyance of those who would wish to sweep it under the carpet).
