:cheese: Walking back from Sunee Plaza two days ago, I noticed a new business opening. There were a small group of people eating and drinking at the gathering. The next walk-by, I noticed several customers in the new barbershop. From the street I was attracted to the new, slick modern look. Tonight, I decided to patronize the new establishment and have a trim. I believe I experienced the best 60 baht haircut I have had in Thailand. The place was clean, well-lighted, and attractive. Someone spent some time and money designing this place.
On entering the establishment, I was warmly greeted and made welcome by the two males and one female. I was directed to the middle barber chair by the longer haired male. A towel around the neck, and then the cape around that, a chair height adjustment and the cutting began. I told the young man, тАЬjust a trim.тАЭ The barber took his time and was very detailed-oriented, making sure the sideburns were just right and length okay. After about 20-30 minutes of snip, snip, snip, razor blade cut, mint-scented towel for clean-up and a quick head and neck massage, I was done. The young lady was nice enough to tell me how nice I looked by saying тАЬloop loor.тАЭ I thought that was nice to say, even though I know I am not handsome. I found the other male, who really is тАЬloop loor,тАЭ was friendly and made small talk during the cut. I assumed he was the boss since he made change for the barber.
To make a long story short, I would highly recommend this shop if you are in the neighborhood and need a cut. I donтАЩt think you will be disappointed. It is a full service shop and has services provided and pricing clearly displayed on entering. According to their business card, тАЬThe Odd BarberтАЭ is located at 504/509 Moo 10, Soi VC2, South Pattaya. There is a new family mart at the corner of soi VC and soi Yensabai. The shop is next door to the family mart, between the family mart and Mr. Bean coffee shop.
