View Full Version : Pattaya Gay festival - Any Suggestions?

December 1st, 2006, 11:20
This will be my first Gay Festival in Pattaya. I have seen a few pics of throbbing crowds in the street and I know there is a 300 baht entry fee for Ferang and Thai alike but that is about all I know.

From past experience what do you suggest is best to do on the night (other than avoid it completely - unless you have serious reasons why). Are there shows in the bars or on the street? Is it best to book a table (if so which bar) or wander the street and bars? Is there a programme detail of what is happening at what times? Bring a camera (and risk it being knicked) or leave it at home?

I hope it is not a sweltering night.

All suggestions welcome.

As far as I know there are no table bookings. You enter either at the Amor end of the street or by Funny Boys 2. All the participating bars serve drinks to the tables and their open air seats. The entertainments are on a big stage - as above in 2005. You go when you fancy and stay as long as you like. Take plenty of money to buy tickets for the Wheel of Fortune and lucky draw - the main fundraisers of the evening - or donations direct to Madam Jim can be named or anonymous. Many take a camera and brave the risk of it being nicked - best not leave it on your table when you go to the loo.

Don't worry, dear...we know how upset you get when someone infringes on your turf.

Age be damned. It's not the years which are important, it's the apparel choices made. I just don't get what these dudes are thinking when they step into a men's wear shop.

Looks like a "BEFORE" audition for a new Rogaine commercial

I think I will go in fancy dress this year - Maybe as a Niddy's Nook Cheese Burger just hoping to be covered in Special Sauce by the end of the nite!!

Guaranteed to be tastier than the original

Maybe they were at the beach the day someone was spreading a rumor there would be an Ugly Shirts Contest?

And where can I find one of those cool red hats? :bigsmurf: This coon-skin cap is killing me!
