... but was he the South African/Scottish sounding Dutchman (or any combination of the three). He was very nice to me on my first visit and always stopped for a chat. I am not sure if he was co-owner or co manager though!

NO NO above. Hugh was a Manager at BBB now running Symphony restaurant Second Road. Gordon is Jims partner and is still in Pattaya doing land development amongst other things.
