A quick search shows AirAsia and Turkish Airlines to both have non-stops for about 5,000 bt round trip

I flew this past November on Tiger Airlines from Chiangmai to Singapore and the roundtrip price was under $60.00 (US) but think I got a special internet deal. Just checked their site, picked a date out at random, and the roundtrip price from Bangkok to Singapore was 4,850 baht. If you pick the right days, I think you can lower that to less than 4000 baht. Probably can't find anything cheaper (and the Tiger flight I took was perfectly fine).

I seearched around for a return fare to Singapore not long ago. The cheapest around the dates I wanted was Air Asia buying a single Bangkok - Singapore and a promotion return Singapore - Bangkok!

Budget airlines fares are in a constance state of change mostly managed by computers. When you know you dates search arounf and book a good one quickly. It might not be there by the time you go back to book. Most of the published fares are subject to a big bundle of add-=ons, insurance, booking fee, airport charges, fuel surcharges etc. This makes getting real comparisons a bit of a pain. The nearly all remind you that Bangkoks Departure Service Charge is Bt500.

If you are flying from the USA or Europe, wou may be able to add Bangkok as a stopover on a Singapore flight.

For 60K Star Alliance FF miles you can fly from the North America to Bangkok with a stopover in Singapore. Bangkok or Singapore alone would be the same 60K miles.

But if you are going to Bangkok, why bother Singapore? :bounce:
